Inspector General Independence and Empowerment Act
This bill protects Inspectors General from political removal by requiring 60-day congressional notice and written justification before any IG can be terminated, provides IGs with independent subpoena authority, and increases funding for IG offices across all federal agencies.

The funding mechanism seems solid. My only question is whether appropriation levels are sufficient.
This is long overdue. Other countries have had similar policies for years and the results speak for themselves.
