Federal Data Privacy Protection Act
This bill establishes a comprehensive federal data privacy framework giving consumers the right to access, correct, delete, and port their personal data. It prohibits the sale of personal data without affirmative opt-in consent and creates a private right of action for violations. It preempts the current patchwork of state privacy laws.

This is why I joined CitizenSenator. Real policy proposals that address real problems. Voted yes.
Strong support. The data clearly shows the current approach is failing and we need a new direction.
The funding mechanism seems solid. My only question is whether appropriation levels are sufficient.
Mixed feelings. The goal is right but there are simpler ways to achieve the same outcome with less bureaucracy.
